Chocolate Protein Porridge

Indulge in a delicious and nutritious breakfast with this warming Chocolate Protein Porridge. With 35g Protein it's a great way to start your day and the chocolate flavour will make you want to make this time and time again.


Ingredients:

  1. 50g rolled oats

  2. 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder (around 5g)

  3. 1 scoop protein powder (approx. 20-25g, depending on brand and type)

  4. 250ml unsweetened almond milk

  5. 1 tsp maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)

  6. 100g frozen cherries

  7. 50g fresh raspberries

  8. 150g plain Greek yogurt

Method:

  1. Cook the Oats:

  2. In a small saucepan, combine the 50g oats, 1 tbsp cocoa powder, and 200ml almond milk.

  3. Heat over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the oats are soft and the porridge reaches your desired consistency (around 3-5 minutes).

  4. Add Protein:

  5. Once the porridge is cooked, remove it from the heat and stir in your protein powder. Mix thoroughly until the protein is completely blended into the oats.

  6. Microwave the Cherries:

  7. Place the 100g frozen cherries in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high for 30-60 seconds until heated through. You can add a splash of water if you want them a little saucy.

  8. Assemble the Bowl:

  9. Spoon the chocolate porridge into a bowl.

  10. Top with microwaved cherries, fresh raspberries, and a generous dollop of 150g Greek yogurt.

  11. Drizzle with 1 tsp maple syrup for sweetness, if desired.

  12. Serve and enjoy your creamy, high-protein chocolate porridge!
